International Protection of Wild Environment from the Dangers of Pollution

Abstract

Abstract This book defines the concept of wild environment and the sources of its pollution. It also identifies the protection tools of both living and non-living wild environment. It expounds as well the international liability for the damages caused by the infringement on wild environment. The book clarifies the means of solving related international disputes. The book reviews the aspects of international cooperation in the field of wild environment protection by identifying the international agreements of wild environment protection, in addition to the role of international organizations in the protection of wild environment, as well as, some other related topics. The book comprises four chapters. The first chapter identifies the concept of wild environment and the sources of the wild ecosystem pollution. This chapter discusses the following subjects: The definition of the wild environment and environmental pollution; the importance of the wild environment and the concern of the protection of the wild environment. This chapter also discusses the sources of wild ecosystem pollution, either chemical or nuclear pollution, or pollution caused by natural sources. The second chapter views the wild environment protection tools, it includes the following subjects: - Live tools for the protection of wild environment; and - Non-live tools for the protection of wild environment. In the third chapter, the author clarifies the international liability for the damages caused by infringement on the wild environment by discussing the following topics: - Traditional and criminal international liability for the damages resulting from infringement on the wild environment; - The foundations of the international liability for the damages resulting from infringement on the wild environment; - The effects of the international liability for the damages resulting from infringement on the wild environment; and - The settlement of international disputes related to wild environment. Finally, in the fourth chapter, the author addresses the issue of international cooperation in the field of wild environment protection through the following topics:

- The international agreements for the protection of wild environment; - The role of international organizations in the protection of wild environment; and - The Egyptian role in the protection of wild environment.
