Intoxicants and Drugs cause harm for the human being from several aspects, where it affects on the individuals’ and the society health and delay the social development. This book talks about the topic of intoxicants and drugs and their health, social and psychological impacts and the Islamic Sharia opinion. In the beginning, it deals with intoxicant, their definition, history of manufacturing intoxicant, the factors which affects intoxicant types, fermentation and intoxicants’ formation, how do microorganisms cause physical and chemical changes in the sugary substances and the distilled alcoholic liquors. Then, it talks about drugs, clarifying that it’s a substance which causes unconsciousness for humans and animals in different rates and it might end up with a coma then death. It also shows the major drugs such as; Opium, morphine, cocaine, heroin, cannabis and marijuana. And minor drugs such as; stimulants, tranquilizers, sedatives, hypnotics and others. It reviews the conditioners, and explains the intoxicants, drugs and conditioners impacts on the human body systems such as; nervous, respiratory, and digestive and blood circulation systems. It also talks about the health, financial, moral and social damages which are caused of taking such substances. Finally, it represents the moral and the addiction disorders and the psychological damages, it also clarifies the Islamic Sharia opinion which prohibits drinking intoxicants and taking drugs and any similar substances, and to penalize him.
