The management of crisis through media is considered a very sensitive and dangerous issue, as achieving security by media through time of crises is a central task, its failure lead to negative effects on the other fields that are related with the crises. In the light of this matter, this book comes to contribute in enriching the practice of media with a theoretical media intellect, which puts the media phenomenon in its general context, and draws a systematic framework to address it. This book aims to publish a media culture to contribute in putting the Arabic media practice on scientific bases, and clear it from improvisation, emotion and mood. This book deals with the principal of crises by defining it, its types and managing it. Also deals with the topic of media and its role in facing the crises, before, after and through the crises, and introduces a suggested perception to manage the media in the time of crises. The book also talks about how to face the propagandas and rumors. Finally, the book puts the light on studying the condition of the American media through the second gulf war that its important attribute was the imposition of strict government control, subjecting the media part of the conflict to the military and political dimensions, the Americanism of the media speech regarding the war, neutralization of the public, making the TV the only way of covering the war, tighten the siege on the public. Also the book puts the light on the attributes of the Arabic cover of the second gulf war, the following notes were found: Firstly, full subordination to the prevailing systems. Secondly, making a full match between the media and the policies of those systems, and their attitudes. Thirdly, the dominance of the narrative and descriptive method in covering the crises, and weakening the analytical and interpretative trend.
