dc.description.abstractThe attention to the issue of administrative corruption has increased in the recent years, it seems like it became as a phenomenon in some countries, which have negative impacts on the economic activity and even on the whole society. Administrative corruption exists in all countries but it is more prevalent in growing countries, because the existence of such corruption is highly related to economical and social levels of the public employee and the cultural level and public awareness of the citizens in general. This book highlights the phenomenon of administrative corruption and shows that it is an obstacle facing social and economical development. The book explores this phenomenon through three main aspects paying attention that these three aspects are not separated; they are highly connected and associated with each other, but the book addresses each aspect separately to ease comprehension of this phenomenon. The first aspect deals with the definition and classification of economical and social corruption, and the leading factors of such corruption, where it highlights various related concepts of corruption weather it’s political, administrative or social corruption, providing specific and comprehensive definition of the concept of corruption. Also deals with the motives of corruption, and outlines the concepts of development in each of capitalist thought, socialist though and then the concept of development in the Islamic thought. The second aspect deals with the relation between corruption and both social and economical development, as it shows that the development process in the society may be accompanied by administrative corruption, indicating that the economical and social crises is the real cause for the phenomenon of administrative corruption which is experienced by most Arab societies. The final aspect deals with the factors that contributed to the emergence and spread of corruption in the Arab world, these factors included: the work environment, job insecurity and economical, social and political factors.en
