Role of Health care in the Treatment of the Narcotic Addicts

Abstract

Mental health deals with the behavior of patients on various aspects because it is one of the Trinity that negatively affects the society, which are disease, poverty and ignorance. The book presents a range of topics that highlights the importance of the mental health and its role in the security planning to treat the problem of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances abuse. The book discusses the role of ‘religious immunization in the prevention of drugs in the Islamic system, and shows that the strength of this immunization highly depends on the amount of loyalty loaded in the concerned individuals on aspects of guidance and education, which are built by the persuasion of the importance and the advantage of positive interaction with the requirements and prohibitions defined by the legislative system, thus raising the amount of loyalty to the point where the requirement becomes desired, this is where we achieve the prevention of crime by immunization. The study then discusses the importance of scientific research to identify the causes of drug addiction and alcoholism in the Arab societies, and refers to the need to for researches and studies on the phenomenon of drug addiction and alcoholism and sexual transmitted diseases, to identify the causes and factors leading to these issues in order to find ways of treatment and prevention. The discussion then deals with the components of the basic health programs that succeeded on the preventive and therapeutic levels, also deals the ideal psychiatric treatment for drug addiction. In conclusion, the book discusses various methods to create awareness projects against drugs and alcohol and to identify those responsible for planning such projects in an integrated framework.
